Upgrading from version 1.4.5 to 1.11.2 / Unable to Save General Settings

    I have upgraded my dev forum from NodeBB v 1.4.5 to 1.11.2 and have run into a few issues. The first is that I am unable to save changes to the Settings > General tab. When I click the save icon I get the following error:

    "Changes Not Saved

    NodeBB encountered a problem
    saving your changes. (Input file is
    missing)"

    Which input file may be missing?

    I think it might be the site logo, can you try re-uploading it, saving, and seeing if the error continues?

    Thanks @julian, that solved that issue.

    Additional details. The problem may be the way that I have my S3 content bucket locked down such that my dev forum cannot access the files (different subdomain).

    oof... maybe, but not yet, I don't think.

    We can use LESS insomuch that what is entered is parsed back out into CSS, but because we don't rerun "variables.less" from bootstrap, then you can't really use variables.

    I'd recommend opening up an issue in our bug tracker so we can get this in if it's something you want 🙂

    But milestones only cover issues. There iare of course lot of changes and addition that arent referenced on issues.
    There were some helpful topics of breaking changes on the past with a little explanation.
    I guess a topic with centralized information would be nice for 1.2 1.3 1.4 at least updates ( including new or uptades hooks explained + breaking changes on plugins explained + breaking changes on themes explained + a simple explanation of new features)
    It doesnt need to be all changes just important things
    Please remember that not every body know to code but with some little explanations and documentation some of us can keep runnin and doing small fixes and learning and improving nodebb

    Is it possible to limit the list of recent topics in the group list, not to members, but rather to categories that a group has access to? Or a way to list all categories that a group has access to?

    Haha yeah, ./nodebb reset plugin="pluginname" is already in -- would prefer a nicer syntax, so maybe we can introduce the ./nodebb disable command. Unsure atm.
