Whoever it is, it's not us... as @pitaj suggests it could be bots issuing HEAD requests to determine site availability before crawling? Who knows... I am looking at some of them coming in our logging system now, but they have no user agent either, so 🤷

actually that gives me a somewhat random idea. would be nice if you could link to a user card like this myforum.com/user/psychobunny/userCard.png, and then I could place that card on my blog/website/etc (or even as a sig on another forum) -
@psychobunny For the love of bandwidth make it externally hostable.
(On 2nd thoughts, it might not be an issue on Digital Ocean.)
