Can we choose which notification user can select to receive in Setting ?

I know but you know sometimes we have limits for sending email. Could you please add this feature to NodeBB?
If yes, I will make an issue in Github

I think he means if there is a way to limit for which notification users can receive e-mails. Thus to reduce the amount of e-mails NodeBB sents out.

we have limits for sending email. Because of the high price, we cannot send email for notification. we could send 1000 email when we charged the account but at the end of the day, half of them sent for notifications.

Exactly
We want to reduce the amount of emails that NodeBB sent .
We want sending email just in order to recover passwords and verifying account emails.

Unfortunately I don't think something like this can be done without creating a new plugin to filter before email send...
