No notification for mention while editing

When someone in my forum edits a post and adds a mention while editing, the mentioned user doesn't get a notification. I hope it's clear what I mean.

Is that a bug or could it be a different issue?

It's not a bug. Mentions only notify when included in the og post. This is by design.

I haven't logged in for a while, but when I did I found a notification waiting. But when I click on the notification area, it kind of flashes and says there are no notifications:

It kind of seems like it's finding a notification for me and then possibly realizing it's old and removing it when I try to view it.

@RalphORama Yeah Cloudflare doesn't support websockets unless you're on one of the two top tiers, pro or business I believe.

Need to add localStorage to it, but also an option to re-enable in the user settings in case you accidentally closed it and actually do want it activated.

In any case, noticed OP is on an iPad, so made some changes that might work for him
