it would be great to have the notifications next to the button on the navabr instead of having to open the left menu to view them on mobile

I'm not sure what you mean. The notification count, or the actual notifications? Can you draw what you think it would look like?
@PitaJ Here is an example in image the notification button appears at the top of the mobile menu and no longer in the menu on the left
So you want an extra button that does the notifications? The notification count already shows up on the button on mobile.
Yes that's right next to the message button that is already present on mobile, is it possible to set it up by changing code for example?
@jksh I agree. You could add these yourself to your Forum with editing of the templates/themes, but I'm not very good at that. Maybe change the text with Custom CSS/JS?
