I don't know if Zeit Now (while really cool!) would work for NodeBB... NodeBB is a web application, and does lots of stuff in the background that relies on a server running. To have a service that spins up whenever a request comes in would be much too slow, if only because that first spin up would take many seconds!
Connection to NodeBB has been lost, attempting to reconnect...
Seems like this is a classical problem... I've already read the other threads like this, but couldn't find a solution?
I've installed a locally hosted nodeBB and the installation so far has gone fine, yet when I try to post or register a user or any other actions, the form is unresponsive, and this message shows up.
Here's a snapshot of the log:
and here's config.json
"secret": "nooope no no no no",
What could be happening? how to solve it? I'd also appreciate an explanation to learn a bit, more than just a simple solution haha.
for my actual IP is not working.
urlvalue must be set to exactly the URL at which you access nodebb.
Is there a reason you are using such an old version of NodeBB?
Is there a way to also remove this popup
"Looks like your connection to Secret Save was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect."
on right bottom of page that shows up very often
@downunder what have you tried?
This post is deleted!

Try removing the port from the url.
And if you are using a domain name, set it to the www.example.com version, as in:
"url" : "http:www.example.com",
(Within the config.json file in nodebb.)
