@psychobunny with regards to your suggestions on stripping out features, I'll have the devs take a look at the disabling options you pointed out.
Integrating with my application:
We have integrated to some degree using the SSO plugin and hopefully it will continue to be as problem free. We are integrating this with a custom Laravel application.
I am really not keen on using iFrames and would prefer a proper theme integration but if push comes to shove, I guess I'll have to settle for an iFrame integration.
At this stage, we're doing development in-house but of course if we run into issues I will shoot you guys an email. As for the theme design, I will definitely keep @trevor in mind. I have looked at his work and it does in fact looks very nice.
I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to me and give me your advice on where to start looking; it is very appreciated.
I have attached the screenshot below, the mixes category is the one that's causing me issues. I have also included the raw HTML below so you can see how it's affecting the p tags. General discussion is how it should look. Ideally with the soundcloud embedded. But that's another issue I can deal with later.
We are currently looking for a way to customise the Lavender theme to make the user's Avatar/profile section in Topic View more "gamified" by showing statistics as well as the "Experience Bar" from the ns-points plugin.
Currently, the theme looks like this when a user posts in a thread:
but I'd like it to look more like:
to help show progression, be more visual, etc. Is it possible to customise this through one of the .tpl files or would it require a root change to how the plugin works? Our sys admin says he thought it would require a change to the actual plugin; I thought it might be a matter of just relocating some of the CSS classes to the "profile.tpl" section of the user profile.
Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated, cheers
@luke you could build something like that yourself, change background to the image, set post preview to 0 in ACP, job done. This is closer to a Reskin than a new theme in the strictest sense.
This is still in early design i plan on editting the tpl soon toon. Also i did say i was using lavendar as a base
Also i will make the image use jpg with progressive scans so its easier on mobile devices @psychobunny
Thanks for reporting the bug @mootzville, the templates property is no longer required in a custom theme's theme.json in v0.5.1 (but since we haven't even launched v0.5.0 yet, don't worry about a thing, the fix is backwards compatible)
