Hi, do we have emoji box in chats? I mean same as one that we have in editor.

There is currently a chats redesign going on behind the scenes, after that there will be the possibility of adding these buttons to the chat modal.

Currently, you can use : to trigger an emoji completion menu. :smiley: becomes etc

I feel like the chats can get a little crowded or awkward when they have more than just two people in them. It would be nice if chats with more than two people showed the name of the chatroom instead of the names of all participants.

Hey there NodeBB team,

The chat feature integrated into NodeBB is great. One feature which would improve usability and convenience a lot would be the ability to quickly edit your last sent message by pressing the arrow up key on your keyboard (while the cursor is focused in the text box below). The current workflow requires to leave your keyboard and do all this by mouse which is not the best UX for a chat solution / not that intuitive.

This would make correcting all these mall typos everyone does way faster 😉

@Chris Not sure if this would be possible but it'd be great if OTR could be implemented. If chats worked similarly to cryptocat then I'd love it. Speaking of which do desktop/phone notifications work for chats as well?
