I'm not shure how delete works on the Nodebb official forum. If someone reads the post, the problem was on my end. The plugin works as it should.
[Solved] Experiencing some issues after moving NodeBB to another server
leo last edited by leo
First of all, we love using NodeBB
... until our former hosting provider messed up with our forum, causing it to go down and broke it. In order to prevent this from ever happening again, we've decided to move the forum to our own private server, by shutting down NodeBB, dumping the Redis database to
dump.rdb, installing NodeBB on the new server and finally, putting back the Redis database.
Most parts of the forum are now working perfectly, but there are some issues with the forum.
- The post owners (names and avatars) are not shown in the category page and in the topic list (admin).
- The quick links to replies on the homepage are broken. It redirects to something like
forum.shoutca.st/topic/321/title#123(I believe the slug is missing from the URL).
Has someone got an idea about what might be causing the issues?

Can't help you, but like to say that I love that footer.
What plugin did you use to implement the static pages?
Thank you for your feedback
I'm not sure I've understood your question - which static pages are you talking about?
@planner Those are obviously not part of the forum
Hi @leo, looks like your theme is not up to date. If it is a fork of Lavender, can you please merge the latest code from the lavender repository, and update vanilla as well?
I'm betting some recent changes to the theme caused this...
Probably - I'll pull the latest code from the repository and let you know if it's fixed
Vanilla should be completely up-to-date as I've cloned NodeBB directly from GitHub on the new server.
Thanks for replying!
Okay there, now it looks like you have some conflicts to resolve after merging
Indeed! I'll stop NodeBB down at the moment.
Thank you very much, @Julian! Everything now works fine! Looks like the URLs did change, so an update in the templates was needed
