@mir that would have made it better, yes, but it's not a fix because we get things like the "triumph" emoji being used for things totally unlike triumph and all it does is make things even more confusing to blind people, it's like seeing a recognizable typo versus an autocorrected but wrong word that is still grammatically correct

@wyatt8740 @mir tbf 'misusing' emojis is a form of slang, and as such, both sighted and blind people need to figure out meaning from context.
Yes, it is easier for sighted people; but it's also easier for allistic people.

@mir @wyatt8740 exactly, slang. The original meaning of emojis has now become a language of sorts. Different usages are slang of that language.
