I've just had a frightening thought after reading Daniel Boffey's Guardian profile of Jeremy Clarkson.

Although he professes no real interest in becoming a politician, I can see a world in which Nigel Farage (or someone else) convinces him to become a party figurehead (pandering to Clarkson's ego) & then a 'popular' push to make him actual leader..... presenting us with our very own (if also quite different) Donald Trump - more so than current UK candidates for that role...
