@sudaksis goes to show what you can do with an Indie development cycle and an AAA budget.
Astro Bot might be the only good AAA game of the decade. And by good, I mean flat out, no flaws.
It certainly is the best AAA game I've seen so far.

@laxla I outlined a couple of the flaws already, it is not perfect, but it is one of the closest to perfect at basically launch that I've maybe ever seen. What a wonderful experience

@sudaksis I mean you said something about camera angles which in all honesty is nothing compared to most games being copies of each other/flat out boring/remakes with better/creepier graphics/etc.

@laxla I'm not grading on a curve, and the perspective issue did come up a few times in the main levels too. That was just exacerbated in the harder levels. That is something I don't quite know can be fixed just by adjusting the camera a little manually. It might need something like a line showing Astro's distance to the ground (not unlike the second jump lasers, but without needing the use the second jump) because the drop shadow didn't seem like enough to tell if Astro was high enough to reach a ledge or was over a platform at times. I'd need screenshots to properly show this, but it wasn't just a few times

@sudaksis I'm gonna buy the game soon, I think they'll solve it by then. Astro's Playroom's camera was pretty nice.
