Somehow, the Mumbai portrayed in Hitman 2 is incredible. It feels real and lived in, like the real city I so desperately miss

@skinnylatte Plan a sequel to the trip!
I've played some episode of the #Hitman #VideoGames a while back set in #Mumbai in which you have to deal with a #Bollywood superstar atop his high-rise penthouse terrace—probably not the one you're talking about—but even that was pretty impressive. The only thing I feel like they didn't match is the sheer number of people visible in your field of view!!!
-
@aalaap yes it’s that one! I am replaying it. The chawls, food stands, and the Ambani tower situation was all pretty on point
Even some of the street chatter
-
@skinnylatte Ah, yes, I enjoyed that one! I'll see if I can get my hands on it again.
They should release yearly software updates to these #Hitman #VideoGames and just multiply the number of NPCs in the #Mumbai missions by 10x each time!
-
@aalaap they have added random new mission to each map so it’s actually still fresh and playable
And also contracts
-
@skinnylatte That's great! I'll try to play #Hitman again. And you—try to visit #Mumbai again!
-
@aalaap yes, a trip back is long overdue
-
@[email protected] That was such a fun mission to play!
I would've never thought it was realistic to the real place. Lots of small passages and little shops selling tea, fabric, and etc.
I haggled down the fabric in that mission so at least I have some experience now on how to do that haha. Although, all Agent 47 did in the game was just stayed silent and stared. -
@MarkOfTheOutsider yes! Even the sounds.. of people talking, the terms they use, very Mumbai
