After some issues in the past with installing Archcraft, I got it working on a very low spec laptop. I know it's not fair to judge the distro on this kind of hardware, but I'm excited to test it out. I love some good OpenBox desktops and Archcraft is the best one yet.

So, not the right distro for this laptop. I'll try it again on something with more storage and larger screen. This Lenovo laptop needs a distro with absolutely no frills and smallest footprint.

@cinimodev That had been my experience with Archcraft. I am currently in the process of setting up FreeBSD instead on my thinkpad. Just installed it last week but haven’t set anything up.
-
@thumb @cinimodev I want to try FreeBSD with Hyprland on my Thinkpad. Just need to kick myself into starting my projects up again.

So, I stuck with Archcraft and made some tweaks to remove clutter and a few things that autorun. I'm actually really liking it and I'm not much of an arch person. The machine I have it on is a Celeron N3060 and 2 GB of RAM, so way, way underpowered. so far, I really like it.

@cinimodev
My parents recently found my sisters old EEE PC in a drawer and I'm picking it up on the weekend... if it still works, I know what will get installed on it -
@82mhz I love little netbooks. It might be why I love Android tablets with keyboards!

@cinimodev @82mhz I still have that popular Dell netbook from years ago. Slow as molasses even with XFCE and Ubuntu. Wonder if it’s still installed? It’s been so long since I turned it on.
