@lilithsaintcrow Well, to balance that: thanks for being a badass who is more interested in giving other writers the info they need than in chasing clout with potential trad publishers.
I keep reflecting that if I'd followed the writers I do now back when I was working in trad and querying agents, I wouldn't have felt so desperate and worthless.

The trad business is designed to make you feel desperate and worthless.
The power in any negotiation belongs to the person most willing to walk away. If they can make you believe you've lost, they win before negotiations even begin.
