Ich bin gerade wirklich beeindruckt, wie ganz anders sich gerade so eine Veranstaltung anfühlt, die klassisch den Fokus auf Open Data und Digitalisierung hätte. Nämlich eher wie eine Anti-Rechtsruck-Vernetzungs-Gruppe mit vielen Wünschen, mehr ins Handeln kommen zu können.

It seems plans are finally afoot to re-open the former Lyceum Cinema on Govan Road in Glasgow. Designed by McNair and Elder in a stunning Streamlined Moderne style, it was built in 1938. Empty for around 20 years, a new website has been launched which says it will be turned into a multi-functional venue called the Lyceum Hub. You can visit the website here: https://lyceumhub.uk/. @Kim_Miller2 hours agoI'm Australian and have never been able to understand America's willingness to walk away from national health care at every opportunity. A few years ago I had a mountain bike accident and badly busted up my shoulder. Paramedics picked me up from the trail and took me to the hospital. It took two surgeries, a steel plate and a dozen screws to stick me back together. The cost? Nothing. And two years ago I started to get headaches and lose mobility in one leg. The doctor wrote up a referral and sent me immediately to the hospital. They admitted me, did a scan, found I had a subdural haematoma that needed immediate surgery and wheeled me into an operating theater. They cut a hole in my skull and cleaned out my head. The cost for emergency brain surgery? Nothing. America it like a third world country when it comes to caring about its citizens.

For those that wonder what a poor, unpaid, sickly #pastor does, here is a look at the last 24ish hours. Last night, Thursday night, I was up all night with a #parishioner whose child had a medical emergency and ended up in the ER. Stayed with them until it was resolved at about 6 am Friday morning. Drive home to take a shower and change clothes. Drove to the #college campus where I had classes for two hours. Finishing up my bachelor’s in clinical %psychology. Spent 45 minutes talking to a student who was worried about #Trump coming for them and their friends because they are transgender. I assured them that if they were to happen our church would offer them sanctuary and do everything in our power to protect them. Came back home to have a quick hamburger with my wife and daughter before returning to the hospital to check on parishioners who are sick. Back home around 4 pm to answer phone messages and emails for the next two hours. 1/2

The people managing our complex just removed all the mail boxes, because they (the mail boxes, not the trustees), were empty, or contained only junk mail and uncollected utility bills. It didn't occur to them that an empty mail box might be evidence that a person is, you know, actively using that mailbox? Now there's a very entertaining bun fight about it in the neighbourhood WhatsApp group that's grown to include complaints about the rogue car port that's being constructed by the neighbourhood drug dealer. Seems it's easier to get outraged about the non compliant car port than the fact that he's, you know, selling tik to the neighbourhood teens.
