    Glad you like the idea. As for mobiles, we can show an " Expand " button. I am sure you can find a better name for it. 🙂

    hmm, this widget actually just pulls data from the /recent page. So maybe its not set up correctly or you weren't logged in? (or /recent page is bugged?)

    To do this, you'll have to take out the media queries that hide the chat. Take out the hidden-xs accordingly in the header.tpl.
    I hope this helps!

    I just found out about nodebb and found that also very confusing.
    After a while I realised I had to click on "posted", but it's very counterintuitive.

    @julian said:

    I'm all for implementing features if there is a demand or direct benefit, but while I know discourse does this, the main thing I have to ask is WHY?!

    In my opinion, it offers nothing but information clutter to the end user.

    I honestly don't care how many times people have clicked the link, I only care whether it's blue or purple. When I go into a topic, I go there to see the new replies to that topic, not to be viralised off to some other link, "Buzzfeed style"

    That's my opinion, of course, and prevailing trends usually dictate what goes into NodeBB core. Something like this would be great as a plugin (filter:post.parse for the link counter, and widget for the internal links).

    This would be a good as a plugin, there should be no reason to love or hate this feature as long as there is some demand for it. That means that maybe its worth implementing. Just like the debate on forum signatures

    If anybody wants to implement this they should look at this plugin by @baris, should be a very good starting point imo

    What happens to attachments that are no longer used in any post? Are they cleaned up on a regular basis?

    Oh, I know... how about a composer.help filter hook that starts off empty (''), but gets populated by each plugin? 🙂

    On here? Just reload the css (clear cache should be fine). On yours, you'll have to update the vanilla theme.

    Fair point.

    Maybe the design can change to:

    psychobunny <link>posted 6 days ago</link> <topic text paragraph goes here> in <link>topic name</link>

    by wp you mean html? See I'm fine using both, but they're still a language other than english that someone must learn. Im not a fan of making anyone learn a web language just so they can format their posts. Not a fan of wysiwyg either as it's glitchy and too involved. WYSIWYG is good for learning what code does what, but eventually you need to learn the code. I learned html because of pagemill, if anyone remember that pre-dreamweaver gem. problem is it taught me to use iframes when i was 17, which wasn't great either.
