    Yep, it looks good. It will definitely cut down on bot registrations, but will not stop human spammers. IP bans and post deletions will take care of those.

    Login should work both via email or via username.

    haha I think, just put all your comments in one place and we can try implementing them for the next theme. I really have a ridiculous habit of creating stuff and then dropping them later (ADHD when it comes to themes and plugins), so yeah. If you want, submit a PR for lavender 😛

    Just made this thread - http://community.nodebb.org/topic/1010/nodebb-s-next-theme#7382 let me know any ideas/suggestions 😉

    @psychobunny

    I'm thinking that since WP comments are just plain text with a few URLs and bold and italicized text here and there, that it shouldn't be that much of an issue.

    I like this idea to a limited extent, as a plugin to be able to assign certain mod powers to a user for specific threads could be a very useful thing.

    yeah, even in the most basic sense, it would be nice to design usernames based on group status so that for ex. admins get a bold colour X, moderators get a semibold colour Y and regular users are colour Z

    Yes that's exactly what I meant. Also if it were to be possible to create something like what Blizzard and Natural Selection 2 has...

    Examples:
    http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/comment/2187609#Comment_2187609
    http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/11913971864#1

    How Admins/Mods have a different post style background as well as their avatar background to be separated from normal users.

    @San1ty

    @baris added this on the backend recently, so its up to theme designers to implement it. Maybe in the next official theme 🙂

    edit: FYI the variable is "toPid" found in the topic view

    I'll think about writing something like this in future 🙂

    Right now, you can get an API call of a user's latest posts, so theoretically you could write a simple widget that makes a call to that route (for the admin user) and renders the latest posts using the same code as the other widgets. So for a very basic implementation, if you know your 1-3 admins/moderators, you can easily hack it together using existing code 🙂

    I already added less on my local nodebb file so I don't have to restart on less changes.

    @eva2000

    I believe we've discussed the possibility of having a HELP tab in the composer, but I can also see the usefulness of a FAQ thread or even a FAQ page.

    @eva2000

    But that's what pagination is for. And if after 5000 posts the subject of the original topic has not been resolved, then it will never be.

    I have a tutorial on my blog with more than 550 comments. If I had a good forum platform with a good search feature, most of the comments would not have been asked.

    I second that:

    sub-categories and/or tagging regular email digests reputation system trust levels for users var. spam detection methods search! similar topics blocks categories with category description and category icon

    Discuz was one of the first to do this and they reward every action - maybe too much, but some rewards are defeinitely needed.

    @James-NotAvailable

    But giving every user the power to close and lock posts on a forum that they do not own does not make sense. That was the reason we pushed to have the ability to move a post be an admin-only feature.

    Nice Idea. But I still vote for a smiley icon as well. It can either open a pop up window or list on the bottom side of editor as in Xenforo.

    Glad you like the idea. As for mobiles, we can show an " Expand " button. I am sure you can find a better name for it. 🙂
