Hello. This has already been asked by someone else, whether they can hide subcategories from home page but the response was to modify the CSS. Could there be a feature which could hide the subcategories without having to modify the CSS?

Assume you have a forum user with a username of: "[email protected]"
The user may login to the forum using his password.

However, if the user typed "[email protected] " (note the space following the email), the credentials wont' match.
The added space can be a result of copy/paste, or just an error from the user side.

I verified this behavior with this forum as well. It can be easily replicated by yourself.

I think this can help, and it may be a small change. Not sure however 🙂

No matter what I do, I can't bring up the converted forum generated by nodebb-postgres-converter.
Honestly I am not sure what to do next... Any idea what I should check?

I think need to add next features

Moderation (flags)
Need better flag system, to be implemented, i mean need notifications when someone flagged post.
Moderators and admins need to see new flags at top bar (where is all notifiations) or near it.
Other thing is to see warns at post and profile.

Ban fuctions (flags)
Need to give ability to ban perm or temporary from /flags list.
Example - i see reported post (flagged) i read this and i need to have ability to ban it, without going at admin panel.
And need to give ability to cancel flags.
Now at /flags u cant delete flag, it remains at ACP and at /flags.

More widgets
Needed more functions.

More profile info
I think need more info at profile (especially about bans / warns)

Groups functions
Info about group, some space for text and other.

Additional functions

admin or moderator post as BLUE post (like blizzard blue posts) to be with other background or styling admin or moder. themes to be with spacing (example - see after this)

Yes, there is no good plugins to create poll.
Needed to be multiple polls at topic. multiple choices too.
Now if u use plugin for poll - after saving and editing again - poll disappearin, u cant edit this.
Very VERY bad..

Hi Everyone,

NodeBB already integrates a search-box in desktop resolution.

Kindly consider adding a search-bar to mobile resolutions. Something like the google search-bar in mobile phones (for some reason I can't upload an image).

Not sure however if this is a killer feature for everyone... 🙂

With Spam be Gone I noticed that implement standard recaptcha from google is super easy, butI haven't been able to install Invisible reCAPTCHA that doesn't even display the "I'm not a robot" dialog box. If in the future nodeBB could support it, it would be great. Thanks.

Unfortunately that is not possible at this time, as the admin panel as a whole is either allowed or denied. Administrators have full access to the site and so they are hardcoded to be allowed in.

Changing the code to break up the ACP into different sections that can be managed via privileges is a major overhaul 😞

Chat is a global privilege now, you can disable it for some groups in the ACP.

I found that I am missing a new function. I think it would be nice to have an ability to move selected post to new topic, which does not exist yet.
Actually the workflow is to

select posts create topic so you can have its ID put ID and move posts delete opening post in the new topic (because you had to create one temporarily)

Would be very nice if after selecting post I could choose a category and then existing or not existing topic and move the post there.

What do you think?

I've noticed a few users click login, attempt to login, fail, and then leave.
We should increase our conversions by automatically opening accounts with the details provided (and prompting users to enter details like their email/username or w/e is missing).

How can we implement this functionality?

It's a WIP but almost done. Any help/pointers would be appreciated.

@pummelchen A possible way -with movable instead of fixed header- would be a fork with Persona theme as upstream, editing the file templates/header.tpl, removing the navbar-fixed-top class from the navbar, and adding a div with the logo as header (probably with hidden-xs class if we want to avoid using it on mobile to save space). Among adjustments to work well with this layout, I would move the breadcrumb from top to bottom of the file templates/partials/account/header.tpl, for profiles. The editor would also need adjustments.

I still think that ability to see a specific's user for e.g if i am following John, then i should be able to see a list of all the topics they r following to mind common mutual interests.

Ofc john should be able to turn this on or off in his privacy settings that his followers can see his topics for which he is following.
