    @Alex Disabling markdown didn't work so I then went ahead and removed the forum part from the URL and I'm able to save.

    After making the change, I'm still unable to get the wordpress portion to work. I don't see anywhere that will allow me to make the post into a nodebb topic.

    @a_5mith Sorry for the delay.

    Details of the useful plugin:

    Pull in Tweets and Replies as Comments

    When publishing to Facebook and Twitter, the discussion is likely to continue there. >Through Social, we can aggregate the various mentions, retweets, @replies, comments >and responses and republish them as WordPress comments.

    Automatically polls Twitter and Facebook for mentions of your post
    Displays mentions inline with comments
    Filter comments by originating source (Facebook, Twitter, or your blog as comments)
    Allow users to reply to the offsite responses

    Plugin link: https://wordpress.org/plugins/social/

    Would be a neat feature for nodebb!!

    Thank you @a_5mith, that's what I imagined but I think it's worth asking before putting some energy in that :).
    I'll follow your advice and take a look at other import plugins.
    Regards.

    @baris said:

    A few weeks ago we weren't checking the slug for correctness. So https://community.nodebb.org/topic/2647/anythinghere was working. But if you had images in the topic in the form of ![](/no/url) this was causing an api call to the topic and loading the entire topic to solve that we started checking the slug.

    If we can find a solution to that image problem we can go back to ignoring the slug.

    Ah right, that makes sense.

    I'm a huge fan of two-factor authentication, and it's one of those ideas that's been banging 'round my head for the past little while. It's a neat idea and works well in practice because people have always got their phones on them.

    SMS 2-factor auth still has one annoying barrier, and that is relying on cell phone networks to deliver the token. I hate that.

    I much prefer HOTP (or even better, TOTP), where all I have to do is register the secret once on my phone, and I can use it to derive the token anywhere, even in places where I don't have signal (which annoyingly, happens a lot).

    I must admit that I remember disabling the Featured Threads plugin before I gave access. I have disabled it and let it run. So far now downtime. Thanks you all. 💯

    Those show the unique ips that visit the forum. I recently changed the calculation for all time to it doesn't count all the ips. Thats why all time shows less than month.

    You can reset it by doing.

    redis-cli del ip:recent

    or if you are using mongodb

    mongo db.objects.remove({"_key":"ip:recent"});

    @vatsal I agree that there is a UI problem with the chat messages and posting on slower internet connections. Pressing send should immediately show your message on the screen, along with a spinner that indicates that the message hasn't been sent yet... followed by a checkmark when it has, and the server acknowledges.

    @julian fantastic that works 🙂

    Thanks a lot.

    Great community 😊. Hope this issue could help some folks like me not really fit with git and npm 😊.

    Have a nice day.

    @julian I've got to say--the documentation for NodeBB is why I chose it over Discourse. There are still some docs lacking (and I know since the platform has not reached a full "1.0" version we should not expect full docs)...but the fact that you guys have put work into writing some documentation is great.

    Thanks so much!
